PADI Advanced Open Water Dive Sites
While completing your PADI Advanced Course in Key Largo you will have many different dive site options. Molasses Reef has some of the best reef dives in the USA. Pickles Reef is a coral restoration project. The depth of these dive sites will be approx 18-35ft. This is the average depth of most reef dives in Key Largo. These sites are known for their beautiful coral, sea fans, and all different types or tropical marine life.
For your Advanced Deep Dives there are several different wreck dive options and deep reef dive options. Contact us if you have something you’d like to do. The most famous deep dive in Key Largo is the USS Spiegel Grove Wreck Dive. The Spiegel is the 3rd largest wreck in the world. Pair this wreck dive with Molasses Reef and you have a world class Advanced Open Water Course.
Water visibility varies day to day and even hour by hour. There is not a better time of year or a better time of day regarding visibility. On average water visibility will exceed 35 ft. Water temperatures will range through the year. In the beginning of February you can expect around 75 or higher whereas in the middle of August you can expect around 88-90+.
