There are skill requirements that must be completed during the pool training to be eligible for the ocean dives. These requirements are global standards for safety. If you are not eligible for the ocean dives, or decide you do not want to go forward with them, you will be provided a Snorkeling Ticket on the afternoon boat charter that goes to the reef with the divers.
Offshore reef conditions Scuba diving has risks and is not for everyone. The coral reefs in the Florida Keys are 4–6+ miles offshore. The coral reefs visited on the afternoon dive trips are subject to current and waves. These offshore conditions are not always predictable and are not for everyone.
