Requirements & prerequisites
Completion of PADI Open Water Diver Course eLearning or equivalent theory
Students must have completed the theoretical portion of the course before enrolling in the checkout dives.
Completion of Confined Water Dives 1-5
Students must have completed these dives within the last 12 months to ensure skills are fresh.
Signed PADI Open Water Diver Course Referral form
This form must be provided to confirm completion of prior training.

Open Water Dives
This phase includes four open water dives to complete your certification.
Open Water Dive Sessions
Hands-on training in real dive conditions
- Dive 1: Introduction to Open Water Review skills learned in confined water and practice in open water.
- Dive 2: Skill Application Execute essential dive skills under instructor supervision.
- Dive 3: Exploration Dive Explore the underwater environment while applying learned skills.
- Dive 4: Final Certification Dive Complete the final dive to demonstrate competency and receive certification.
Time commitment: All dives will be conducted under the supervision of a certified PADI instructor.
